I’m a Research Officer working with the Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics Department at the National Biotechnology Development Agency, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria. I obtained my B.Sc. in Microbiology in 2012 from the University of Jos, Nigeria and M.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology in 2016 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Within the last three years, I have been opportune to attend some H3ABioNet bioinformatics trainings which have been of benefit to me especially in my M.Sc. thesis which centred on the probiotic potential of Lactic Acid Bacteria and Universal Stress Proteins isolated from Ogi (fermented maize gruel).



Zainab Kashim

ZAINAB ABIMBOLA KASHIM is a Scientific Officer at National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), and a Research Trainee at the H3ABioNet NABDA node. She obtained the B.Sc. in Microbiology from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria, and her Master’s degree in Microbiology at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. She is currently working on a second Masters in Environmental Science with research focused on genes for Universal Stress Proteins in Petroleum-Degrading Alcanivorax at University of South Africa.
