I was born 14 of July 1980 and raised in Nigeria. I am married to Olayinka Akanle and blessed with a boy. I practice Christianity My high school was between 1992 and 1998 after which I proceeded to the Federal University of Technology Minna from where I obtained my B.Eng in Electrical/Computer Engineering in the year 2006. In 2014 I obtain Master of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. I began my career as a System/Network Engineer in 2009 at Word Mission Agency km 10 Idiroko Road Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. In 2010 I move to Covenant University km 10 idiroko road Ota Ogun State Nigeria, as a System Engineer In the department of Center for System and Information Services (CSIS).
Some of my responsibilities include: To ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for users, installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure; Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary, Server hardware provisioning including configuration and deployment. I am Oloyede Emmanuel, System Administrator for the H3Africa Bioinformatics Network (H3ABioNet) Node at National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), Abuja, Nigeria. A graduate of Computer Science, I also hold Cisco certifications in IT Essential: PC Hardware and Software; and Cisco Certified Network Associate. My work experience is in the areas of website design and development; database management; system and network administration; programming; ICT4D (ICT for Development). I have helped in developing sound and working knowledge/skills in the use of various IT-related technologies.
For more than a decade now, I have also been working as a System Administrator and Network Technician, where I was part of a team for the design, implementation and maintenance of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless LAN (WLAN); scheduling of routine hardware, software and network maintenance programs, as well as instructing in the area of PC Hardware and Software.

Ngonidzashe Faya is currently in his 2nd year of PhD study in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at Rhodes University. He holds a Masters degree in Bioinformatics which was obtained in April, 2014. For his undergraduate studies, a Biochemistry (Honors) degree was obtained. Two awards were won which are best 1st and 3rd year student in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
As of 2014, he was employed as a part time system administrator for the Bioinformatics research group where duties such as website maintenance, software installations and general orders and purchases. These experiences provided him with valuable experience and insight into the web management and system administration duties. Further, during the Masters study, where various programming languages were learnt, Ngoni passed with a distinction. The study exposed him to the extensive use of linux OS and scripting languages such as Bash.
Outside of academics, Ngoni is very involved in University activities. He spent 2 years as a Chess Committee member and a volleyball player. In addition to these major activities, Mr. Faya is also a SciFest tutor, representing the department to help Grade 12 learners with career guidance. These activities have helped him with building personal skills such as public speaking, grasping concepts quickly and efficient communication skills.

Kelvin Kirita is responsible for overall leadership in managing the ICT infrastructure and operations supporting the Managing and Development for Health (MDH) strategic objectives. He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems, from Lund University, Sweden and Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is also a Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) , Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and ISO 27001 Certified Lead Implementer. He has a wide experience of over nine years in the field of ICT working for a Private Company, a Government Authority and a Non-Governmental organization. During his studies he developed interests on Systems Integration and Data Communication Network, Information system design and implementation (programming) and ICT Security. His research interests are Business Intelligence and Decision Support System, Bioinformatics, Health Information Systems, the use of ICT/IS to support management processes, IT management and governance, Knowledge Management. I obtained a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 at the Polytechnic University of Bobo-Dioulasso and in 1998 I was recruited as biomedical technician at “Centre International de Recherche-Développment sur l’élévage en zone Subhumide” (CIRDES). He is doing a PhD student in Medical Informatics and security (Dynamic Operating Systems) where Dr. Ghazal Hassan is the cosupervisor. Nabil earned his bachelor in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2008 from the polydisciplinary Faculty of Nador. He received his Master in Computer Engineering in 2010 from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Mohamed Premier, Oujda, Morocco. Mr. Kannouf has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including The First prize in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2008 and the First prize in the Specialized Master in Computer Engineering in 2010 at the University Mohamed Premier, Oujda, Morocco. Nicholas Muriithi is an I.T. professional specialised in Computer Network administration. I currently manage a 70+ user network for a children’s referral clinic which has over 2000 patients. I have been with Baylor Children’s Clinic for over 5 years. Specific duties include maintaining the Electronic Medical records, computer network security as well Hardware maintenance. Before joining Baylor, I was the technical Manager at a Computer Company contracted to the Botswana Government to maintain I.T. Systems in the Ministry of Education for about 6 years. My exposure to operating systems has been with Novell Netware, Microsoft Windows Server. I have had minimal experience with Unix/Linux systems hence my enthusiasm about the course.
Owen Mwenefumbo has a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology with credit which he obtained at the Polytechnic, University of Malawi in 2009. I have currently enrolled for a Masters Degree in Information Technology at the University of Liverpool to commence in February 2015. Currently, I am working as an IT Systems Administrator at the Malawi-Liverpool Wellcome Trust since December, 2014. Previously, I worked as an IT Manager at Karonga Prevention Study in the Northern District of Malawi. My research interests lie on the area of programming languages ranging from theory to design to implementation, with analyzing and reviewing multithreaded programs. Kimbowa Timothy Wamala is 30 years of age working for Uganda Virus Research Institute as a Network Administrator and IT Assistant. Timothy has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with ITIL, CCNA and MSCE in Server 2012 certifications. Timothy is currently perusing an administration course in Linux with the help of H3ABioNet trainings in Systems administration and is currently managing and overseeing the IT infrastructure and activities for Uganda Virus Research Institute IT department which is comprised of the H3ABioNet equipment and the institute at large. I am a lover of knowledge and am always seeking to “know more”. I have a wide range of interests including anything information technology, photography, music and the wonderful art of game design. I want to learn as much as possible; hopefully this will lead me into the information systems and/or information engineering industry where I can use all I have gained throughout my work and education.
